The incident took place near Donstiennes, not far from Thuillies.
While the four occupants were traveling on the N53 this Sunday afternoon, a warning light in their vehicle came on. Moments later, the car stopped dead, revealing the first flames in the engine. The four people, and their dog, were able to get away from any danger in time, without being hurt.
The Beaumont firefighters quickly intervened to mark the road and extinguish the blaze, which had time to completely destroy the vehicle.
The ACF Motor repairman took care of the car wreck.
The report was drawn up by the Germinalt police.
