During the procession this Sunday morning, a horse from the Car d’Or unfortunately slipped on the cobblestones of Mons. He fell, but was able to get up.
The golden coach had to stop. The horse was able to get up!
“He fell, but more fear than harm, he was not injured”, specifies Emmanuel Godefroid, the president of the procession who gives us news of the equine. Better still: “The horse was able to make the ascent of the Car d’Or” And the Car d’or is well ridden.

In 2019, Marie Cruyppeninck was the first woman rider to pull the Car d’Or during the procession and the climb up the Sainte-Waudru ramp. This year, they will be 3 women to shoot it!
