Kevin De Bruyne, Yannick Carrasco and Thomas Miller will not be traveling to Poland with the Red Devils, said Roberto Martinez at a press conference after the split between Belgium and Wales. “We are only going to take 23 players in Poland”said the coach, already citing the names of the three players guaranteed not to play next Tuesday.
“We will see with the others”he added, also mentioning a possible departure from Dedryck Boyata and by Axel Witsel.
“We need fresh and fit players. We can’t take any risks”justified Martinez, very complimentary with regard to Kevin De Bruyne, tenured in the last three matches.
“I’m very happy with the leadership role that De Bruyne has played in these three games. Kevin is an essential player for us. When De Bruyne is in top form, we are a team that can do anything. When he and Eden Hazard are in fully fit, they are irreplaceable in this team.”
