North Korea’s nuclear arms race continues. Satellite images of the Punggye-ri test site from June 13 show Kim Jong-un preparing to detonate several nuclear bombs. Analysts say work on the mountain is complete and the testing phase can begin.
The site is “apparently now complete and ready for an oft-speculated seventh nuclear test,” reads the report by Beyond Parallel, a project of Washington-based think tank the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
The conclusion of the note is formal: “The timing of a seventh nuclear test now rests solely in the hands of Kim Jong-un.”
