Shuri’s new costume is revealed through an ad campaign for a soft drink associated with the Black Panther 2 movie Wakanda Forever.
New images of promotional products for the next Black Panther: Wakanda Forever show Shuri with an all-new look for the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel.
The photos, which recently surfaced online, reveal a Sprite-related promotion featuring Princess of Wakanda Shuri (Letitia Wright) as well as warrior Okoye (Danai Gurira). While Okoye wears her traditional Dora Milaje outfit seen previously in the MCU, Shuri sports a sleek purple jacket, a new hairstyle, and an elaborate tattoo on her right hand.

After the success of the first part, a second film was quickly put into development with a scenario that already had a plot all traced in the mind of director Ryan Coogler. Unfortunately, the director had to review his copy when Chadwick Boseman died. Marvel has decided not to recast T’Challa and the script of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was forced to undergo a number of changes to accommodate the loss of its main character.
This meant that other characters such as Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), and Okoye (Danai Gurira) would play far different and larger roles than they would have in the first version of the script.
Returning cast members include Letitia Wright as Shuri, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Angela Bassett as Queen Ramonda, and Winston Duke as M’Baku. Michael Coel also joined the cast in an unknown role, while Dominique Thorne signed on to play inventor Riri Williams.
The film is still scheduled for November 9, 2022.
