Legislative elections 2022: here is what a poll reveals between the two rounds

If, during the first round of the legislative elections, the Macronie coalition Together! preceded on the wire the coalition of the left Nupes (for New union popular, ecological and social), led by Jean-Luc Mélenchon, the suspense remains in order for the second round, which will take place this Sunday.

An Ifop-Fiducial poll for LCI and Sud Radio was published this Wednesday, right in between rounds. It was carried out on June 14 and 15 via an online questionnaire with a sample of 1,400 people registered on the electoral lists, representative of the French population aged 18 and over.

But what does this survey reveal? As relayed by BFM, the presidential coalition would obtain between 265 and 300 seats in the second round of the legislative elections, against 180 to 210 for Nupes.

Compared to a previous poll published on June 10 (and therefore even before the results of the first round), Together! would therefore register a very slight decline, since the group supported by Macron then obtained between 270 and 305 seats. Regarding the Nupes, the figures are exactly the same between the two polls.

And the others? According to this Wednesday’s poll, the Republicans, the UDI and the Centrists would win 40 to 65 seats while the National Rally would get between 20 and 40. If these last figures are confirmed for the RN, it would be a great victory for Marine The pen. Indeed, by exceeding the bar of 15 elected and therefore 15 seats (which seems to be a good start), the far-right party could form a group in the National Assembly.
