Are you worthy to sail the seas aboard the Black Pearl? Will Jack Sparrow or Captain Barbossa deem you capable enough to go on an adventure with them? Test your knowledge of the first Pirates of the Caribbean, The Curse of the Black Pearl!

In the Caribbean Sea, in the 17th century, Jack Sparrow, a gentleman buccaneer, sees his idyllic life turned upside down the day when his enemy, the treacherous Captain Barbossa, steals his boat, the Black Pearl, then attacks the town of Port Royal, kidnapping in passing the very beautiful daughter of the governor, Elizabeth Swann.

Elizabeth’s childhood friend, Will Turner, joins Jack in chasing the captain. But Will ignores that a curse hits Barbossa and his pirates. When the moon shines, they turn into the undead. Their terrible fate will only end when the fabulous treasure they have amassed is returned…

Pirates of the Caribbean is directed by Gore Verbinski and written by Ted Elliott, Terry Rossio and Stuart Beattie. These three authors were in charge of adapting this essential and traditional attraction of the Disney parks into a feature film.

The success of the film launched a new fashion, that of the cinematographic adaptation of Disney attractions in film. This will be the case with The Haunted Mansion and the 999 Ghosts worn by Eddie Murphy, but also Jungle Cruise with Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt. Going back in time, we find The Ghost of Halloween, loosely inspired by the Tower of Terror, but also The Country Bears or In pursuit of tomorrow.

In 2014, a film adapted from the attraction It’s a Small World with its catchy little song that has remained in the memories had been announced but has (for the moment) never been revived.
