VSn Wednesday, a 19-year-old girl was returning from school when she witnessed a challenging scene on line 2 of the Tec bus from Mons to Dour. A passenger behind her was feeling unwell.

“I asked her if she was fine”, confides the young girl to Sudinfo. The passenger in question was in fact drugged.

The 19-year-old then saw her walk over to the bus driver to discreetly warn him of the situation.

“Everything happened very quickly, nobody saw anything,” continues the 19-year-old girl.

Arrived at the stop near a hospital in the region, two men fled. The bus driver tried in vain to stop them. The police then intervened and took charge of the drugged girl. The police asked the other passengers if they had seen anything.

Audrey Lepape, communication manager of the TEC, confirms to our colleagues that a young girl has come forward to a driver of bus line 2 to Dour. The driver contacted dispatch, who then notified the police.

An investigation has been opened by the local police. The services of the TEC will collaborate with the police zone, specifies their spokesperson to Sudinfo.
