The lifeless body of a man fished out of the Meuse in Liège

Thursday morning, the emergency services intervened quai Godfroid Kurth in Liège, where a person was reported in the water.

It was a passerby who contacted the emergency services after spotting a body in the Meuse.

Quickly, the police intervened on the spot. 11 firefighters also intervened on the spot to rescue the victim. The frogmen quickly took the victim out of the water to be taken care of by the medical unit present on site.
