Lhe south of France was ravaged by several forest fires on Saturday, fueled by drought and temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius.
Near Narbonne, on the border with Spain, 300 firefighters were hard at work to contain a fire which has already reduced 120 hectares of forest to ashes.
No casualties were reported and no homes were affected.
On the Côte d’Azur, the fire broke out in the mountainous region near Grasse. According to local firefighters, 150 fire men are in action in difficult terrain.
