Very big revelations about this new animated film Pinocchio!

Discover without delay everything we know so far about the remake of the Disney+ animated film, Pinocchio!

In recent years, Disney+ has made many remakes of its classic animated films. No matter how many people complain about these remakes, they continue to pay off big. Of course, the platform will therefore continue to do so. The latest animated classic that this one decided to remake is the 1940 classic, Pinocchio.

In other words, the story of a wooden puppet who becomes a real boy. Although this tale has been the subject of many screen adaptations, the remake will be a work on a screenplay co-written by Chris Weitz, the screenwriter of About A Boy! Want to know about it? Find us in the following lines for more details!

Disney +: Pinocchio offers its very first teaser video

Disney+ streamed the first trailer from Pinocchio on May 31, 2022. While this 102-second teaser doesn’t show much of the titular character, it does show other characters (both human and CGI). Additionally, it even features a snippet from the movie’s new rendition of the classic song “When We Pray to the Lucky Star.”

Even though this is a live-action film, the trailer and images revealed by Disney+ showed attention to detail. This is an adaptation that really tries to capture the magic of the original animated film. Which doesn’t get better demonstrated than the look of the puppet used for Pinnochio. Indeed, it looks like the old design just ripped off the page and given an extra dimension!

The Pinocchio trailer is brilliant, with stunning visuals and the kind of enchanting fairy tale that viewers have come to expect from Disney+. We mainly see Geppetto (Tom Hanks) building his little wooden puppet and wishing on a star for his creation to come to life. With a mix of humans and CGI creations, the teaser video ends with Cynthia Erivo’s Blue Fairy waving her wand and granting Geppetto’s wish!

The next remake of Pinocchio is directed by Robert Zemeckis, who also directed the 2009 CGI version of The Christmas Carol, starring Jim Carrey. So he’s no stranger to adapting these iconic stories for new audiences. Zemeckis is also the co-writer of the feature alongside producer Chris Weitz. The latter also has experience in adapting old Disney + animated films in live action. Indeed, the man wrote the 2015 remake of Cinderella, directed by Oscar-nominated director Kenneth Branagh!

Release date !

The new Pinocchio can only be watched on Disney+ from September 8, 2022. This day is important because it is the second annual celebration of Disney+ Day. And it will lead to the D23, the biannual expo for the company’s fans. Keep in mind that Pinocchio isn’t the first live-action Disney+ remake not to hit theaters.

Indeed know that Lady and the Tramp and Mulan have also had to give up their theatrical releasealthough the latter is due to COVID! Many actors from this new Disney+ Pinocchio movie will appear either in person or as the voice of a CGI character. Including Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, Tom Hanks, Cynthia Erivo, Luke Evans and Kyanne Lamaya.

There will also be Giuseppe Battison, Lewin Lloyd, Sheila Atim, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Keegan-Michael Key and Lorraine Bracco! Benjamin Evan Ainsworth embodies Pinocchio, a wooden puppet who comes to life and wishes to be a real boy. While Tom Hanks plays Geppetto, the lonely woodcarver who created him and raised him like a son.

Hanks first joined the project in 2018 when Paddington director Paul King was attached. But he left after King gave up. However, Hanks joined the project after Zemeckis signed on as the new director. Probably because the two already have a great working relationship. Moreover, this Disney + film marks the fourth collaboration between Zemeckis and Hanks, after Forrest Gump, Cast Away and The Polar Express!

Disney +: These great actors who will be part of the cast of Pinocchio!

This is the second time Evans has played a villain in a live-action Disney+ remake. Indeed, io has already played the role of Gaston in Beauty and the Beast.
