Lthursday will start with quite a bit of sunshine in many places, although cloudy fields will arrive quickly from the south. In the morning, a few showers will be possible, mainly along the French border, according to forecasts from the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM).
In the afternoon, these showers (possibly stormy) should rather affect the west, north and east of the country, while wide clearings will affect a large central part with drier weather. It will be hot with maximums of 27 or 28ºC in the center of the country. In Campine, the mercury could reach 30ºC. At the sea as well as in upper Belgium, it will be less hot with highs close to 24 or 25ºC. The south to southeast wind will become moderate.
This evening, a few showers will first concern the west of the country before the weather becomes drier. At the end of the evening and during the night, new showers, more sustained and accompanied by thunderstorms, should reach the east and southeast before spreading northeast. On the western half of the country, the weather should therefore remain calmer. The minima will be between 15 and 19ºC. The wind will be weak to moderate from south to southwest.
On Friday, showers accompanied by thunderstorms will quickly invade our country from the south. The maxima will vary between 21ºC on the Ardennes relief and 25ºC in Campine. The wind will be weak to moderate from south to southwest or from variable direction. At the Coast, a sea breeze will set in during the day.
This weekend, Belgium should again be (partially) affected by thunderstorms.
